KNIGHTING
Merit’s mission is to help students prepare to make a difference in the world through leadership, lifelong learning, and active service. Each year, we honor select students of the graduating class by awarding them Knighthood for their leadership, service, and academic achievements. These students are celebrated at the Knighting assembly each May, where they receive an engraved dagger as a reminder of their accomplishments.
Knights are often leaders within StuCo and Hope Squad, but they also lead daily at our school by participating actively in Merit programs, such as art, dance, music, theater, sports, cheer, clubs, Quest Time, and other leadership opportunities.
Knights must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a student at Merit for at least three years.
Knights participate enthusiastically in service-oriented roles, including NHS, Interact, CERT, ASK, Yearbooks, StuCo, Hope Squad, Quest Time, and more.
Knighting applications will open in February
